Francesco voleva essere lì, con i suoi colleghi ed amici volontari, in prima linea con la mascherina e la divisa d’argenteo arancione ad aiutare, nonostante la paura.
Francesco non può, è al confino in camera sua o in quarantena se preferite anche se non è vero. Francesco è come sempre in uno di quei paradossi tipici dei malati, in cui tanto più la tua terapia è efficace, tanto più ti espone alle corone di spine del virus. Francesco è immunodepresso.
Francesco appartiene a quel 2% che muore se contrae quella che alla fine è soltanto una brutta influenza stagionale. Se per brutta si intende mortale ed assassina. Francesco aveva dovuto aspettare mesi prima di iniziare la sua terapia per potersi vaccinare contro qualsiasi possibile influenza stagionale, ma ai tempi il coronavirus non esisteva. Ed ora Francesco aspetta, tranquillo, in camera sua mentre dilaga la paura di quel rimanente 80% a cui non succede niente. Se le percentuali non ti tornano è perché anche voi sani potreste avere la vostra % di sfiga. Ma siete sani e guarite comunque.
Francesco, uno dei pochi autorizzati ad andare in para, è incazzato come una iena perché è uno dei pochi che ha effettivamente bisogno di amuchina e mascherina, e non ce ne sono a meno di dare soldi a tristi sciacalli.
Francesco però capisce bene l’isteria della folla senza testa ma con facebook: è l’incertezza quella che spaventa. Un morbo invisibile e asintomatico che si insinua. Il non sapere. Francesco ride di gusto vedendoli tutti uguali davanti alla morte perché scatta, sempre, quel primordiale istinto di sopravvivenza. Francesco vorrebbe se ne ricordassero la prossima volta che giudicano un migrante. Non accadrà. Sciacalli.
La paura invece è sempre difficile da contenere ma Francesco è tranquillo perché sa che l’incertezza fa parte della vita e che non siamo esseri onniscienti ma mortali e a volte neanche il miglior scienziato sa la riposta. Francesco sa come tutti che moriremo comunque, quindi andate tra‘ che mi mettete l’ansia.
Conseguentemente Francesco fa l’unica cosa che deve fare: stare solo, protetto, in camera, a scrivere, tranquillo. Che se avesse la ragazza la dovrebbe baciare con la mascherina come in un quadro di Magritte.
